Cannabis and the IDEAL temperature....

Here is what I know, indica or indica dominant plants suffer once a room reaches and stays at or above 82 (maybe 84 depending on strain) meanwhile your sativa's and Sativa dom plants don't suffer the same results from 82, really, 75-78 is ideal for all canaibis plants.

Everytime I go to a commercial nursery where plants are thriving and grown indoors the temps are ALWAYS in the 80's and rarely in the low 70's.

So whats the deal with everyone having such a hardon for keeping temps close to 75? We are talking about a plant that has been known to thrive in 100+ degree weather. I don't even keep ME at 75.

Are we pussifying the Cannabis plant?

I believe our tendency IS to pussify these plants. After all, they have more importance to us than anything in any garden there ever was. I believe in treating them good; providing everything they need but also believe in giving them some tough times. It makes frr a stronger, more resilient plant. My plants all grow in an 80* environment. When in flowering, they sometimes stay at 90*+ (due to the addition of CO2) and I have had nothing but great results. Again, as previously mentioned, all of this is more strain dependent than any other factor. I do grow more Sativas and Sat. dom. plants, by choice, but have had equal results wth the Hybrids I grow...

Having high heat overall puts you at far more risk for pests and more things to go wrong. I have had 2 grow boxes in separate houses, growing the same strain and the only difference were the temps....one box was harder to maintain the temps. Both grows turned out amazing and the smoke was nice.... but the box that was in the 70s had a higher yeild and the plants were much bigger. Weed can def be grown in high temps, but the yield and growth rate will be sacrifaced

Uncle Ben once wrote that lights on temp should be 85 and ideally lights out around 70. He said a 15 degree temp difference was important. My own growing shows the same as you..they seem to grow faster when my lights on temps are low 80s as opposed to say mid 70s

My plants never felt 74 they grow in 67-68 and they do fine 1-2 inches a day easy,, they been as cool as 62 and they still thrive..

Idk what strain my plants are, and honestly i do not care but i have never exceeded the temp of 84, 70 being the lowest when lights off. i keep my babies 81 degrees and 50% humidity pretty consistently.

I hate when people say that. No plants from 2" PER DAY.
