if you want to maximize yields look into LST it is much less stressful and results in multiple tops.

toping your plant is great but you have to do it early on i top my girls at 4 nodes normally then let them grow for a week or 2 n start tieing down the branches i find doing a LST is ALOTTT easier after topping in my opinion just dont top them to far along into veg or it can turn into some weird lanky ob longed growth lol speaking from experiences

yield is geno/pheno limited. how you want to spread the bud around is a matter of choice. perfect lighting, watering and feeding will increase yields to max potential. the rest is preference, imo.

too add to the geno/ pheno being in control of your yield what it really comes down to is how much light you can give your plants the closer you can get your lights over a canopy the higher the lumen output so rule of thumb is 1 gram per watt but that s bullshit to me unless your rocking a sealed room with full c02 n full nutrient line with an a/c Completely DIALED IN even with that the closest i have come is 16 lbs out of a 10 light room full c02 rocking canna the whole way soooo that was 0.8grams per watt.....a GOOOD rule is 1lbs per[1000whps] light i dont know how big your room is but if your banging out a p off 1000 watts your doing good anything beyond that is gravvvy
