Got a camera with a Macro setting? That's what I use.
You can get a digital magnifier online cheap.

I'm real sick of trying to focus my stupid little magnifying glass on my nugs to find out if they are finished. I would like to buy a camera that can just take those real zoomed in shots where I can see if my trichomes are cloudy or not by looking at the pictures.
so what type of camera do I need to be able to do that?

Love.
get an SLR with a macro lens, if you go for a base model slr with a macro lens you can drop about 1100/1200 for a Nikon or Canon
Think I'll drift on down where it's at

And wrap myself around of bush of that bright oh Oaxaca vine
yah, i have been looking at getting myself a nice dslr camera, but i haven't gotten myself to drop the $1400 or so on the one i really like yet.. i'm still debating it..
i was either going to get a nice new bong, or a nice camera, i think i'm leaning more towards the camera, just not sure yet..![]()
They don't make my camera anymore but a few years ago I decided I needed to try to capture in photo the amazing hikes and scenery I live around. The Nikon D40 ($450) it was the only 6mp SLR on the market, but of course for what I paid then you can get a 10mp with more bells and whistles. I've been looking at getting a macro lens for a while now, I've also been tossing around the idea of throwing mine up for sale on CL for like $300 and getting a new D3000, I have a 200mm zoom lens and the standard lens for it.

I got my (good entry level) Pentax SLR, tele and macro lenses for under $800.
Shop around, if you have a "Henry's" in your neighbourhood, check them out.
Ok thanks for all the great replies this was helpful... so it seems I need to buy a camera and buy a seperate MACRO lens to go with it if I want to be able to take the zoom in pictures.
now if i wanted to spend around $200 does anyone have a specific brand or type of camera that they would reccomend going with?
