nute burn imo, from 14 years xp, plain water for a week ,then check ,newer growth should be fine,
Hey Yall
I need some advice on if either my baby has heat stress or nute burn. Started from seed, its in veg stage for the last 6 weeks. Im useing DNF nutes on full recomended strength in Pro Mix. 600 watt MH cool tubes, the room temp is at a steady 26 degrees celcius but it did climb up to 31-32 for a few days a couple weeks ago. The light is about 20" from top of plant. I flushed the plant a week ago then have continued with the nutes...should I keep using nutes or plain ph'd water? lower room temp? Any help would be great! Here are a couple pics.....2012-06-26 09.59.00.jpg2012-06-26 09.59.17.jpg

I have found running full strength nutes is just asking for trouble. Try backing off to 1/2 strength.
I can see heat stress in the first pic, but not where you think. Look at the whole plant and notice the hunched over look.
Solution: water. The brown edges is something else, likely a mineral deficiency. Don't know about them.

Thanks everyone
Ive started plain water...gonna try flush this out. I also think the temp should prob come down a bit....has anyone heard of cool tubes creating hot spots that could be burning my plants too? I was wondering if taking the glass out, will it "actually" be cooler....Re: Jorge Cervantes's...?
U need to read uncle bens thoughts on flushing
How much air are you pushing through the tube and where are you venting it? Also, how far away from the plants is it. I have found with good ventilation you can push the light a little bit closer. I broke down and bought an infrared thermometer. I can get accurate temps on the tips of my plants that way and keep them around 78 degrees. I also run an air conditioner just on the dehumidify setting. It will tame two vented 1000w lights without even kicking on the actual air conditioning setting pretty well.
