Thats how hot it is in my room right now or the thermometer maxed out. Dont know what to do about it. Dont have central air, a window shaker isnt going to cut it. I have fans blowing all over the place. This is starting to concern me. Going to be close to a hundred during the day around here for the next few days lows in the upper 70 at night when I run my lights.

The only thing I can think of doing next is putting a 6" fan blowing into the attic to pull more air out of the room that feeds my grow room. But I doubt that will do any real good. And probably wont bother with it.

I have some bubba in there right now. 2nd week of flower. I hope these dont get stunted to bad.

Were is the, Its so hot outside I ........... joke when you need one?

You have to vent out hair out and bring cool air in. What's your grow room? A closet, basement, a pc? At 95F+ unless you're pumping co2 into the room your plants are going to get heat stressed for sure. It's somewhat ok if you were growing outdoors, but indoors the conditions are a bit different. If possible I would seal your room, have a intake fan sucking air in from somewhere not in your grow room and another fan on the other side of the room blowing the air out. Your exhaust fan needs to be 2x the size of your intake fan. What type of fan are you currently using?

    Actually what's your entire setup?

what exactly are you working with? air cooled hoods help a lot. an ac will only help. fans just circulating are not going to cool your room, they are just going to keep your room at a more even temp. you need to exhaust that hot air and pull in fresh air. if that fresh air is hot than their is nothing you can do except get an ac or chiller. maybe, just maybe a lot of ice in front of fans will help a little. you never said your light source but if its hps, get a digital ballast that you can turn the wattage down. i have 600s and i have them at 300 now until my mini splitter ac comes in. good luck.

Its an small upstairs bedroom so that is why it is so hot always has been. Have an 6'' hurricane going through a 1000 and out the room and two t-5's in there as well. intake is the door with some strips of black plastic to cut down on light getting in it off of the darkened living room. I have outside air being vented through the registers from the basement window when it gets cool enough outside, no sense in pushing hot air inside. all the windows I can are opened. The hood air is pushed through the 1000 and into another room which is closed and then out that rooms window.

I guess I just wanted to let you all know how hot it is over here. I have to work with what I have and moving air is about all I can do. It is still about 80 degrees out right now so I cant get it under that if I wanted to.

Im open to ideas though. I dont have any other than central air and I cant do that . Just hope they are able to recover since it is still early and it stays cool.

I thought I was all for global warming but I guess I will have to re-think that.

Why on earth would you want global warming? Your best and easiet option would be buying a portable a/c unit. Home depot/lowes sell a 5000 btu for around $100. I'm sure there's some chart that tells you how many btu you need for your specific area, but 5000 btu is the lowest you're going to find. I'm not much of a ebay person, but I'm sure you could find cheaper if you look around. If outside air isn't cool(80F+) your main option is to cool the air you have. I'm not sure what "through a 1000" means. A 6" fan would be good for a micro grow like a sterlite/rubbermaid bin, but not for an entire bedroom. Again there's probably a sheet somewhere for the CFM you need per square feet, but for a room I wouldn't mess with anything less than 10"-12". I use two 4" PC fans that have 60(or was it 80) CFM as my exhaust and have a 4" passive intake hole. My temps are still in the 80's.

A 1000 is my light which is hooded. I have a 6'' hurricane pushing through that. Rated at about 435 cfm's. A portable a/c wont do it tried it before. A 5000 btu a/c wont cool much more than a small room with nothing in it.

I think I will put in that extra 6'' and vent that up into the attic to move more air out, to see if that helps any today instead of not doing it. I guess it would help some not enough but a little.

5000 is the smallest they make. You could get a 10k btu if you wanted. You've got to get your temps down to at least 85F. I don't think 1 more fan is going to drop the temp by 15 degrees. Oh 1000 watts, do you have a hood cooler or w/e it's called or just the bulb by itself?
