Lightbulb Pruning before flower ? When

Hi every one , yeah even you ! I'mon about my 3 yr of growing now, and was hoping for some tips on pruning to get the best from my plants, I tend to grown big bushy plants and get about 2-3 oz per plant , I don't know what the average is but always feel with the effort I put in I should be getting amazing results, i always get alots of loose fluffy bud below the canopy, and wondered from other things I've read if pruning off all the little sucker branches will effectively transfers this bud to the taller branches? Or is it best (more efficient ) just to grow more plants with just one or two stems and more light penetration . I'm using 1000w hps with co2 , thanks some discussion on this topic would help me a lot

i trim absolutly nothing ever, those sucker leaves you call them feeds your plant with energy the whole way through its cycle from start to finish,,,i would stick with the more plants if your looking for more bud or stick to 4 main branches per plant if your looking for bigger buds...you can also tie the plant down which gives more light to the bottom half and you will end up with a big bush of beautiful colas,,,,ive hit 21 nice colas on 1 plant.last year,,it was sweet.

Well that's 2 great suggestions so as I've got 3 bushes I'll try them both out. If that's an example of ya work in your profile pic cmackk ? Looks v nice , think I might be over vegging , as most of my bushes are 2.5 ft tall hence all the fluffy bud . Question to cmackk or anyone with knowledge , I agree the fan leaves are energy for the plant and shouldn't be removed, but what about the little wispy branches that produce the fluff , do they store energy or just use up vital resources that should go into building tight buds ? Most of the time all there good for if the bubble mix . So I wonder what would be a better harvest, 10 plants with 4 colas each or 3 plants with 10 , and would the ol bill view them both the same is they were to come a knocking

all my pics are of my own hard work, with some help from this site of course,,,and i would definatly go with the 10plants with 4 colas each,,,,,,and the wispt branches your talking about ,yes they give energy but only if the sun/ or light is getting at them, which is why i would tie the plant down if i were keeping them little branches,,,but regardless what your going to do ,it has to be done at the start of your veg cycle,,,any cutting half way through of any deveolped branch will stun the plant, and any leaf will be taking away energy..which is why i say get a plan of what your plant to do and stick with that plan throughout the whole cycle, and i think you may have some nice results, and nicer buds.....

have you ever tried going outside with your plant upside down,,i have had good results with that method as well...
    good luck on the grow.

Kk so u suggest trimming stuff that is hidden in the plant, cause I have supercropd/lst'd my plants and now some branches have gone from just the main growth shoot to having like 6 or so that r at the top of the cannopy and down at the bottom of the branches the lil nodes have grow shoots that r only like 2 inches or so, I've take some for clones, but I've been hesitating to remove all of those lil hidden growths. I also remove any fan leaves from the bottom or hidden inside the growth when they start turning yellow.

i wouldnt remove any in the middle of a cycle for any reason,,,if i fear something is hidden, i will usually tie down a branch or the whole plant in attempt to get light to the dead spot.....and if your leaves are turning yellow then your either flowering or have a def. of some sort,,,yellow leaves means lack of something,if your flowering then your fert will have lack of N and turns your leaves yellow, your palnt is just focused on flowering, But doesnt mean it stopped producing energy for your plant...NOW if your in veg and yellow leaves are appearing, well taking them off is not going to cure the problem, it just looks better...but its not helping the plant either way by taking them off...

I prune only when there gets to be to many leaves blocking the budsites,Ive done this with good results,it will help more than it harms the plant.Your freeing up nutes to the rest of her with what youre taking off her.But one must be careful still.Dont ever take fan leaves away.I trim the small leaves once in the early flower phase then towards the later part of the same phase, maybe 3 weeks before harvest, this is only with leaves that block rays from reaching the bud that i do it.But to each there own with pruning methods.

Well I now have 3 plants one tied down, one supercroped lolly popped whatever it's called, and one with slight lower pruning already done prior to advice, I must admit from past hydro projects, the plant that normally turns out best is the one in the corner I can't get to, so it generally gets less interference. But will post results anyway hopefully it will be usefull , but think that xxxcmackk is probs going to work best with 4 stems per plant, that's the next one I'm going to try anyway , not managed to produce any really fat buds yet,, and ya know it's what it's what we alllllllll want
