depends what you mean when you say lift the lights clones wont need much light really, i just use 2 t5s or 2 42w cfls and keep em about 4 inches away from the lid of my dome. you can have too much light for them but its pretty hard to, if they do have too much light they'll curl up in a few minutes.

tight internodal space is usually a good thing, if they're too bushy its even better for clones honestly. it kind of depends what kind of light your under too, you could just switch spectrums to around 2500k so they give you the before flower stretch, keeping your lights further from your plants isnt usually good, if you can get as many lumens as possible itd be suggested to do so, and maybe train her if your tired of dealing with a bushy plant.

Everybody has their own cloning method. Just gotta figure out what yours is.
I started with this pic:

even though this guy clearly thinks he knows the best procedure for everything.... may i make a suggestion... when taking clones, i would cut branch like "j" at 45* right below a node. then pull the leaf off of this bottom most node. scratch up the stem with a knife or scissors (only where it will be in the dirt). dip in your rooting hormone and plant. then cut the tips off of the leaves. yes, i said CUT THE LEAVES! since they won't be able to pull as much energy from the leaves as they are now cut, the roots will form faster. keep your dome at 100% humidity by spritzing the dome, not the plants! the method i have quoted above seems like my way, except he's just waiting for the tips to die so that the clone produces roots instead of clipping the leaves off to start with! and hey, crazyhazey, you sound smart, and i see you like to pick fights. i'm not trying to fight, i'm just trying to offer some help! which i believe is what superstoner was trying to do in the first place!
where did i say this is the best procedure? im glad you didnt put it as "blah 45 degrees blah pierce that blah blah rocket science", sorry if i take that as coming off as arrogant(saying i believe my method is the best however, is a tad arrogant), i dont appreciate arrogance after i take my time to post to help somebody. as for cutting leaves on clone, i dont see why anyone would do this, more leaves are always better than less leaves, and by popping the lid after about 7 days you let them know they cant use those leaves to feed off humidity, forcing them to put off roots rather than cutting off something they'll need once theyve got roots. taking off leaves is like taking away the only food they have once they're cut off the plant, im not gonna keep explaining this. as for the 45 degree thing, im sure superstoner would tell you your over-complicating things, and how his only proof is saying "i take thousands of clones, but only 1 has died", lol give me a break dude. kind of odd you show up in his defense too, out of all the threads you could have gone to, just sayin ghost accounts seem to be a huge problem on here especially for those with the ego of a child, so tell me superstoner, why couldnt you just post your method rather than trying to call me out? seems a little bit suspicous, especially how you come to a thread with a grunge against me for no apparent reason, just saying.
and no need to put things in capitalized letters, i can clearly read.

i hope you are not implying i am a "ghost account". i came here to learn as much as i can. next time i clone i am going to cut half of them, and leave the others and see which roots faster. i have always agreed that you should leave as many leaves on the plant as possible, however, the person who told me to use this cutting method has grown for a decade, and has some very impressive walking sticks made from stems (the root ball at the top of the walking stick is about the size of my fist). so i think he knows what he's doing. of course there are always going to be people who prefer different methods, i was just offering another option.
