Anybody run Barneys Farm LSD ?

Shoot....Not very popular strain I guess eh...?

it's an OK strain. i wasn't impressed. i didn't like it's creeper KO stone. it was very similar to mataro blue when grown under a halide... grapey haze phenos with decent starting highs that creep into stones over an hour or so. the LSD was much more compact and mine had a mild but yucky sickly sweet cat piss on flowers & grapes odor in early flowering that faded to a nicer grape odor later. i will say that it was THE sexiest looking plant i've ever seen. my pheno was dark olive green with brilliant crystal frost highlights. the buds were very dense & sticky.

given a choice, john sinclair's sativa trans love is MUCH better! it doesn't couchlock, is nice & fruity and it flowers like crazy as soon as you switch it. it was MUCH faster flowering than about a dozen similar smoking jacks & hazes i tested it against with a very similar buzz. it's more like what i expected than what i got from the LSD.

i wouldn't call it the worst ever though. just about ANY other strain i've bought since the 80s that's nothing but stone sucks biug time in comparison. there's some pheno variation in the strain too, so you'd need to get a few to find the best keeper and would have to at least tolerate getting stoned to be safe. i just wasn't impressed. i've tried a ton of other fruity hazes that don't couchlock and DNA's sweet haze in particular is WAY better with a trippier & much more up high, though that one is a bigger strain that takes longer.

even though C99's standard clear headed energetic motivational buzz isn't my favorite, i like that more than LSD any day and it finishes in 45-55 days depending on the version you get.

LSD is OK, but sativa trans love, C99, and most jacks & hazes are better. rokerij's amnesia haze is a good deal and CH9's jack is pretty darn good too. TGA subcool's jack's cleaner 2 is way awesome as far as 9 week strains go and it's psychoactivity is REAL. LSD isn't trippy, just fun & euphoric until you fall asleep.

sativa trans love is a much better strain all around. it was wise of the breeder to offer his gear as freebies recently, that strain is the fastest producing strain that gets you high i've ever tried. i still wouldn't call it trippy, but it like shaving fun for sure & doesn't couchlock. the buzz is much more well rounded than C99 too. i'm planning on using it in a lot of my breeding for fast indoor strains with real highs. it's fruity side is very hazey too.

Yo Mann any pics on the grow. I got this same strain but mines is only in week 1 of flower not counting the transition part. But it's budding up real nice. I'll take some pics in the morning. I like indicas that couch lock you in. Makes you not smoke as much weed. Then you'll have more to smoke later then burning It all in one joint. I'm a fan of purple strains so this should do me good if it's what you say hazeyG.

Throw some pictures up if you got a camera I'd be interested in seeing that strain in action. Barney's Farm is one of those big name seed companies that mass produce their seeds, so its really a hit and miss with them

Hazey- Thanx man for the in depth opinion on her, I appreciate it. And yeah, my pheno here indeed is a picture perfect looking deep green specimen even still that its a month into flower. I dont remember reading anything about it having any grapey or berry tendencies to it. I can live with that though. Its just strange forr as nice as she looks, I'm not yet detecting any smell from it, nor is it developing much crystal coating to this point.

My last grow was Barney's lsd and I am running them again.

Was really pleased with the end product, not a sativa high tho. Its a cross between skunk #1 and mazar I think.

Are the conditions good, growing with hid's?

Should start to frost up soon for you. Oh and the strain is extremly hardy, can handle nutes really well.

Thanks Doc- that sounds encouraging to me ! Yeah, she was vegged under 400MH and now she is just at 4 weeks since flipping to 12/12 under 400HPS.Medium is Roots 707 She does look healthy. Here are a few pics of her out from under the HPS;

Aw yea that plant looks really good bro! Says in the Big Book of Buds volume 4 that she is 8-9 weeks indoors and starts frosting up and buds start swelling and getting dense at 5-6 weeks. Looks like you are gonna get a good harvest! What wattage HPS light you using?
