Without a photo all talk is for nothing...
Haven't seen much info on this, but I have 6 master kush, growing indoors in soil. Under 400 watt hps lamps.
I'm getting real close to harvest ( about 2 weeks away) and I notice a lot of new growth on my colas. They look like dreadlocks and they cover the cola. Is this normal or a reaction to the nutriants? What do you do when harvesting these? They look long and skinny ( the dreads, not the colas ) and I dought that thy will make nugs.
What causes this? Is it something to worry about?
Any advice from the experts out there?

Sounds like foxtailing..
Have a great one. Advice is for folks with a legal grow and worth what you paid for it.
I believe what you are referring to is "fox-tailing" Do they look like this in any way?

yes , thats it. I had no idea what it was called. Is it something I should worry about? or is it just some kind of strain dependant thingy?

lol heat issue of a 400 hahaha watever next
It's called freedom. Shocking as it is, you are free to behave like a moron.
It could be strain inheritance its no biggy and try not to chop the fuckers off the colas while snippin away every little helps !! And yeah heat off a 400hps wot u growin in a box 2x2x2 maybe ha ha ha
Sometimes it's strain dependent, I grew an unknown sativa that all it's buds we're foxtails. Only problem with them is that they're a bitch to trim.
my tang dream has the exact same thing happening...it looks like a saguaro cactus!!!!
nobody has responded to the question of "is this something to worry about"?
