85F to much ?

85 is quite high, your plants might tolerate it however. The more ventillation you have, the closer you will get the temp inside the growspace to the temp in the room itself. If you arent already running with a cooltube, this will surely help keep your temps in the happy-range.

thanks .. and no .. I dont have a cooltube .. it is a "old" balast with the bulp "in it"

so I guess I cant fit a cool tube around it


my vent. schould be ok .. changes air like evry 3th minut .. tho after fitting the carbon filter it did of course slow down a bit .. and the temp did go up from like 82 to 85 or so ..

plants been in ther for like 5 hrs now and do look good .. Ill keep a eye on them .. maybe next week when I switch to 12/12 I runn it at night .. atlest untill summer is over ..

or maybe install some kind of intake fan aswell .. if temps do get out of controle ?

85 is high but tolerable. Any higher and you have a problem. If you are thinking about supplementing co2, then 85 is perfect

temp. is stable now it seems .. like 84F in the room .. and only when you get with in 1½ feet of the 600W HPS it raises 1-3 degress ..

it is my fist indoor grow ..
but thinking back to all them out door growing I did when I was younger .. I do remember it often was like 85-90F when summer was hottest ..
and them plants did pretty nice (½-1 pounders)

guess Ill just keep a eye on them and water more often maybe .. and if it gets abow 90F I will either runn the light at night or make some changes ..


but dunno what I can do ? if it comes to it ..

you guys think reversing the filter might give me some more runn on the ventilation ?
I mean use it as a "scruper" filter or what it is calld ? and place it out side the room so the vent blows trough it insted ?
or maybe make the intake bigger/smaller ?


when I fist set up the vent it was so strong it did sug my cover a inch or two in to the room (underpresure I belive) and it seems like ther was a realy good air flow at the intake and temp was 1-3 degress lower in the room ..

but after I did fit the carbon filter it did lower it (as I did expect) think it is perfect now ? (cover "relax")

and smell is totaly gone (thanks God )

but Im not sure as Im new to all this .. if I cover up like half the intake the cover gets pulld in agin .. so dunno ?

or maybe a intake ventilation could solv it .. but you know .. a 187m3 ventilation .. a tower fan and a big table fan is allready blowering at max .. so I would like to keep it to the passiv intake if possible ?

With the thermometer placement, not in direct light you have to put it in shade beside pot for eg and take the temp from there, by the way 85 is too hot.
