my temp was 102 with lights off. left my dehu on full blast(drying out my filters) think im worried? no. anywho quite tripping 85 is fine(even if its 85 out of the direct light) even without c02, anything higher wont be good tho.

    i run my temps at 95 straight with co2. without co2 80-85

How is 85 too hot when my out door plants do just fine over 100 (high today is 99). My outdoor plants actually grow much faster than my indoor plants even though my indoor stays at 80day and 75night.
Please tell me why it would be just fine outside but not inside.

yea its cooler .. bet I can get temps down to 72 out side and that means I possible could keep it around 78-80 inside

but I dont think my electricity is the usually kind
as I pay per kilowatt used ... plus taxes of course .. witch is around the same !

I know 85 is`t idel .. but when I read around the diffrent board and guides aso I see Ppl. growing big nice plant fast .. even with 90ish degrees ..

and I doubt that canabis would be local in them countries they come from insted of my countrie etc. (Denmark/scandinavia) if they realy liked 72F the most ..

but agin I guess that depense on a lot of thing .. like air flow, light intensity, strain, co2, and what your expectations is ..

if all other condisions is close to perfect I bet you wouldnt notice a diffrent in grow rate at 85F compaird to 78F unless you have 2 rooms and can compair them along the way ..

also been looking around a bit more .. and I think it might help if I make the passiv intake slightly bigger .. would help with the negativ air presure so my outtake vent. can runn more smootly/faster and hopefully get the same flow as before I did add the carbon filter (then the temps was around 82F insted of 85F)

can easyly fit the tower fan I have in the passiv intake if needed/if it helps ?

it is just a inch or two smaller then my passiv intake so I could easily fit it ther if I lie it down .. well half way in .. blowing in ... with its intake outside the room .. think this could work ? would it move enough air ? (normal tower fan with 3 speed .. pretty strong on max)

it would pull the 76-78F air in and ther would still be a inch open around it for passiv intake incase it is`t strong enough .. as I would like to avoyd to much negativ presure .. just enough to keep the smell out and Im happy ..

and thanks a lot so fare for all your suggestions and comments ..

outdoor plants have the benefit of a constant supply of fresh air, and typically are grown in much larger pots than indoor plants, which means they don't dry up as quick as they would indoors and the lower part of their root system stays a bit cooler than an indoor plant would. even if you regularly exchange the air it's never as fresh as outside air. also, outside plants are usually much bigger with more robust root systems, and the elements tend to harden them up better than indoor plants.

    lol polyarcturus@

    you think Im tripping

might be paranoid ? need to smoke some more ... Im sure it helps

but no realy .. most of all I was just a bit confused as one guide say 72-78F wile another tells you up to 85 is good ..

    like this one:

    TEMPERATURE
Proper temperature is one highly variable factor. Most books state optimum grow temperature to be 70-80 degrees, but many list extenuating circumstances that allow temperatures to go higher. Assuming genetics is not a factor, marijuana plants seem to be able to absorb more light at higher temps, perhaps up to 90 degrees. High light and CO2 levels could make this go as high as 95 degrees for increased marijuana growth speed.* An optimum of 95 degrees is new data that assumes very-high light, CO2 enrichment of 1500 ppm and good regular venting to keep humidity down.

    so what to belive ?

was just wondering and a bit worried as I dont know what to belive ..

also since Im sure my summer temps only will go up and so will my plants .. about 2-2½ feet away from my 600W HPS right now .. would like to keep em a bit closer .. specialy when I flower them in a week or two .. so if temps go up a few degrees and plants get ½ a foot close to the light I might get closer to 90ish

would like to "solv" this before it become a real problem ..

also .. how do heat stress look like ? I mean early signs .. what schould I be looking after ?

    p.s.
night time now .. tomorrow I will remove the perforatet plate that cover my intake so it gets bigger ...and if that dont do the trick maybe try to fit that tower vent in it ..

    my intake:

    btw

is root temp. also importent .. Bc. on the floor its more like 82 and my plants are in nice big 7 gallon pots (been repotting them twise) so they have plenty of room and nice root systems (last time I lookd )

ya it is too hot for ur plants to thrive but theyll def grow fine. ive seen plants get 90F+ days and all they needed was a little extra water...not ideal though 72F is where u wanna be at but thts hard as fuck without a cooltube.

yeah im high but ill give you the run down tho.

with co2 the best way to run is w/o the monitor and vent regularly in addition to a dehu temps up to a 100 are alright above that well...

without co2 70-80 is ideal in 50% RH now lets say you are at 40% 30% RH it s okay to go up a little(say up to 85) as the plant will still transpire properly because the wont prevent the water from evaporating much more.
the key here is the difference between dry heat and humid heat. florida vs. texas

heat stress looks like overwater almost they get limp.and the leaves curl under.

its also good and helps prevent heat stress if you have a good swing of temp when the light go out (min is about a 15 degree difference) and will help with flowering.

personally would add another exhaust fan(4" inline) and filter(can 9000)during the summer to keep the temps down or upgrade your current fan to s bigger size.
or add a window AC if i can be done(just make sure to check where the holes are on the thing and fill them before installing so no smell get out, but they create pressure anyways the separates the air.)e

kool .. I have been able to keep humidity around 40-45% doing Veg and under my T5Ho fixture .. but that was also out side the room ..
in the room it drops to like 35% humidity .. so I guess Im ok on that one ..

my night temp. is just about 72F .. so a drop on 12 or so .. guess Im good on this one to .. acctualy I think Im all good .. plants also look pretty to day after a full day (18 hrs) under the HPS ..

guess I just have to keep a close eye on it .. tho I will still try some diffrent small changes (bigger intake/fan in ther aso) atlest to see if I can get it down a few degrees as it will help me once the realy hot days arrives so I dont end up somewher in the 90ish ..

about co2 .. not sumthing I want to play with (even tho Im a smet and weld on daily bases .. so Co2 would be realy easy for me to get .. we even have a big old cardbord box full of old ventils for the co2 bottels as the new bottels have it inbuild now a days) but it is in my bedroom .. dont like that combo for some reason .. also all the "trouble" of getting it on a timer (same with ventilation aso) to much trouble .. will be more easy to keep it under 85F Im sure .. rather get one ventilation more .. as it is a no no to lead the vent out .. as my window do lead right out to a staircase outside wher my neibors aso pass .. not Bc. of smell .. but it would look/sound wird and also the trouble with tubes in my bedroom aso...

one thing I could do tho .. is inside the room I could take out a room meter (M3) or so ...put up plastick in the end of the room .. the part I actualy dont use .. just empty space that would take off like 20-25% of the size of the room so my vent have less room to clear .. and I can also make the intake slightly bigger (one hole insted of all them small once) and finaly I can add the fan or buy a cheap bathroom vent and add that to the intake to give a better flow and help my outtake preform better .. a lot of options and I only need to get it to drop 2-7 degrees and Im kool ..

and thanks agin for all the help ..
