i dont think its heat stress, ive had heat stress before and you start to see shading brownish discoloring..
Hey guys its my first grow and m plants looking pretty good ( in my mind). But since 4 days now the edges of the leafs start to curl up. Ive been told its heat stress and they curl up to increse the distance between the edges. (the little spikes). I have a 30 watt cfl and its like 4 inches above the plant its a white cool and doesnt produce a lot of heat but its still fairly warm around the plant. But id say its not way hotter than room temperature. i also have a fan its not an oscillating one but it either blows against the walls of my closet or directly at the plant and then i turn the plant 45 degrees every half hour. here are some pics! and please dont just say yes its heat stress please also give me advice on how to fix it. the leaf edges curling up like that suggest heat stress. It is called "tacoing" It is in the early stages though. Keep lights on temps between 75-80F...and keep the humidity between 50-70% if you can during the vegetative cycle.
With heat stress, you'll get droop, and brownish edge burn. I'm leaning towards a nute uptake issue.
What soil are you in?
Are you feeding and what?
What are you using for H2O?
Using any CalMag?

im using normal home gardening soil. I havent fed the plant any nutrients so far. I filter my tap water with one of those filter buckets and im not using any CalMag (dont even know what that is).
Okay here's my best guess. I'm not exactly sure water a filter bucket is, but I'm assuming it is like a britta or other tap filter that removes all heavy metals, minerals, and chlorine. And in most standard gardening soils there is no or little added lime, so I think you have a Ca deficiency, without calcium the plant can't uptake nutrients. Get some cal-mag (there are other brands other than botanicare, but it's easier to find). Use at 1/2 the recommended to start. DON"T over water to add, be sure soil is dry before adding.
I hope this helps

Place your hand on top of your plant. If your hand isn't uncomfortably warm then your plants are OK with the distance.
Sometimes when the temps crawl up your plants will need more water. Try giving them 6-8 ounces of water EXTRA
early each afternoon. I had to do that for a while when it got hot here and my leaf-curlibg went away.
Good luck, BigSteve.
Yeah it's a tap water filter. Is that good when I water my plant with filtered water ?
I am mentally incapable !! So do not, at any time listen to a word i say
