How do you connect up all those cfls

3socket 18" light fixtures so i need those and do i have to wire it up to the electrics or into my lamp sorry this shit really confuses me sometimes

Dude get you a 150 watt hps from High Tech Garden Supply

you have like a million options here. a simple method would be to get a wooden board and screw a load of lampholder batten type to it. the 45' angle ones are good. wire them all up in parallel and im sure i dont need to say the rest, (insert bulbs plug in hang up and all that)

how big is the capopy area? make the board that size and fill it with bulbs.

my veg rooms about 0.8mx0.8mx2m if i do the board thing which i had in mind do i plug it up to an ad adaptor or to the house electricity lyk is the 150wt hps good for seedlings coz the only reason i want cfls is because seedlings cant handle the 600 watter

i see, if its just for a short time you may be better off getting a few of those clip lamp holders, they go for about £3 each. only thing is you will have a plug for each lamp then. what about buying a 60watt cfl and just use the one. you can get them on ebay for about £5-10. 6400k as well. do a search for SAD lights and look for the cfl type.

if you were going ahead with the board idea then just connect them up in turn and put a plug on the other end. unless your using cfls that need some sort of adapter then you wont need one. the household screw in ones have their own control gear attached but you can get 2 and 4 pin ones and i think they will need separate control gear but they are much harder to get hold of, not worth it if your just going to be using them for a short while with seedlings

if you already have the 150watt then use that, it will work with the correct distance and a small gentle fan on the seedlings
