    Default seedlings growing slow

hi chaps this is the first time i have grown from seed and i think they are growing to slow i used to use cuttings but i thought i would give seeds a try.
the seeds germinated really quickly but then slowed right down.
i have the seeds in canna coco, for the first week i used only water then i used a bit of bio grow after the first week, then i changed to canna coco a+b with rizatonic a week later. i have had them in a propergator for two weeks the temp was around 24 - 25.5 the humidity was between 80 -90. but now the temp out side hase changed its a lot hoter now i have had to take the top off the propergator because it got to hot the humidity is now 55 - 65. i have them under a 125 watt flourecant light. iam i doing the right thing. the plants are 3 weeks old are they to small. thanks for your time it is much appriciated. tekno....

how close is the light when it's pointed at the plants? the way that bulb focuses the light i can't see how you would get adequate coverage of all the plants without unless you kept it 6+ inches away. those plants want more light. think of the plants collectively as a single canopy. floro light should be within 2 or 3 inches of every one of those plants. i'd suggest getting some extra cfls or tubes and arrange them so every peice of green is within a few inches of some light.

i thought that females grow slower in the begining ? but i could be wrong the wee males like to get a head start for pollenation , but you do have a lot of plants compared to the light you have , so as scrog say,s need more light
I am mentally incapable !! So do not, at any time listen to a word i say I'm here for the fun of it and now't more,!!!!!!! just waiting for the apes to take over the planet that is all.............. you may be seatedTOO MUCH LOVE WILL KILL YOUR PLANTS

More light is important for increased growth. Understanding a plant's growing habits will help you understand your apparent slow growth.

I'll bet you transplanted the new seedlings directly into the red pots they are in now? If so that explains your "slow" growth. When your germinated beans
first go into dirt the plant is programmed to expend nearly 100% of it's energy into growing and deploying the root system. That's Mother Nature protecting
the fragile seedlings from falling over. Here's the important thing - your newly planted seedling will throw out roots until the roots first hit the side of the pot.
It takes weeks for your plants to grow roots all the way to the sides of the pot, and all that time nearly all "grow energy" is growing roots. Here's my answer:
I take my newly sprouted seedlings and start them in dirt in 16 oz. solo cups. It doesn't take long for roots to find the sides in a cup, so they soon turn to growing
bigger and taller. 8-10 days in a solo cup will allow most seedlings to become slightly rootbound. That's a good thing here as SLIGHTLY rootbound plants devote
a lot more energy into growing taller and bushier. From the solo cup they go into a 4-inch pot. The 4-incher is not much wider than the cup so the roots hit
the sides right away and really put on the extra foliage. 10-14 days in the 4-inch pots and the 10-12 inch seedlings get their final transplanting into a bigger pot.
I use 6-quart ( one and 1/2 gallons) for fast-growing autos and 3-gallon pots for my usual indica grows.

    Good luck, BigSteve.

your seedlings are developing roots now. the reason they are stretchy is because you first planted in those exact pots (right?) The seeds were to close to surface. when you replant make sure that you replant the seedlings up to the first set of leaves and they should be fine.
