Yellowing tips

Ive got yellowing tips on my leaves and its spreading to other leaves. Theres even some dead spots of brown. i need help. i dont know whats causing this. I dont have pics right now but i will post some as soon as i can. any help, suggestions, knowledge, or ideas are appreciated..

more then likey you have a nitrogen deficiency, but dont take my word for it. head to the sticky-plant problems and cures just above the threads.
