Lightbulb how much light?

hey guys just one quike question how much light should i need for 1 to 2 plants in a small area3 feet tall 2.5 feet wide? i was thinkin' maybe three lights (cfl) like this:

shoot that didn't come out right
but one light down low in the middle to on sides
