Default Coco
i am currently trying to flush my plants as I think I have built up too many nutes in the coco, as the coco drains pretty well can I flood the plant and let it all drip out the bottom to try and get rid of all of the nutes as quick as possible, or will this lead to other problems?

if the plants are healthy just feed with plain water for the next week, they should pick up.

flushing with copious amounts of water may only induce shock.

Yeah I would say give them two waterings of water. They will eventually use the build up nutrients.

Unless they are burned, then water them. It will induce shock for a day or so, but its no different then a thunderstorm for the plants!

yeah they have, what I think is nute burn, and it is pretty bad. What is a good feeding schedule in coco? Was feeding everyday with too high concentration, should I still feed every day but lower the dose or maybe every 2 or 3 days?

here are two pics. As you can see they got it pretty bad, I am still flushing and I think the problem has slowed down. I was giving them pretty much the full recommended strength everyday, which I realise was way too much now. I've put them into flower now, am I right in thinking they need more during this stage, or is that just for soil, as its nutes may have run out by then? Unless anyone has some advice, was just going to experiment a bit, start low and increase the feedings until i notice minor nute burn and stick just below that.

they usually enjoy more feed at the start of flowering, but since yours are burned, they already got all the nutes they need for a while. What nutes are you using, and how much? If you havent been flushing with water regularly, you could probably get away with the same strength as long as you flushed weekly, but give these girls some time to recover.
I thought it was hard to overfeed in coco...

in coco, you're flushing every time you feed. you should be getting at least 15-20% runoff with every feed. if you do this "every" time, you don't ever need any plain water flushing. keep your ppm's low and work your way up. you should never use the bottles directions on feeding, they're almost always too high. a ppm of 800 is a good number. in coco you don't need the really high ppm like soil. you should never go to flower if your plant has issues. clear the problems up first.
kaos, it's hard to overwater in coco, but you can always overfeed. using too high of a ppm does it in every medium.

such good advice! Sounds like I underestimated the flushing effect of each watering...No more weekly flushing for me then. Cool, it was a pain
