Default pickle juice to lower the ph? will this work?

nute lockup is a problem right now and the soil is a constant 7.5 even after watering. i need to lower the ph. pickle juice is just vinegar right? how much should i mix with water in ratio? or should i just water then pour the juice?

everything i say is a lie and i am in no way taking part in any illegal matter.

i suppose you could use pickle juice to lower pH but vinegar isn't the only ingredient. I think most pickling recipes call for a butt-load of sugar and an ass-load of salt with some spices. Both sugar and salt would not be good to add to your plants.

Potassium hydroxide will raise pH, while phosphoric acid will lower it. Because of impurities, inconsistencies and any other issues home-brew pH adjusters can cause, i would encourage you to just get pH up and down designed for garden use.

whats different of PH up and down Garden use and Aquaculture use if ur usein a DWC bucket?

i don't know that there is any difference. If it is Potassium hydroxide and phosphoric acid then there isn't any difference. But i figure if i'm going to send someone out to buy some - might as well be for garden use - just in case.

absolutely. i think they are the same - i just can't say for certain. if you are using it without problems, i'd say that is a good indicator they are the same thing.

use a little bit of lime juice. just cut and sqeeze. stir and measure ph. adjust little by little as not to shock your plants. i do this to condition my rockwool to a 5.5 ph
