i just cut all the leasfs off on my plant except for the small ones that are growing around the growing tips so now ive expossed 13 main growing tips to more light on my plant was this good getting rid of alot of the leafs including the big ones for the growing tips ot get more juice and light?????

and whats the reason people keep there plants bushy with lots of leafs instead of trimming them?

the leaves feed the plant. why would you do that? the big leaves collect light then turn it into sugars which feed the smaller leaves and branches so they can grow up and be big and strong. why do you think they are there in the first place?

the big leaves are the lungs and receptors to your plant. there is a reason why the plant grows there. if you have a large area, you should worry about these leaves. best time to get rid of them is when these fan leaves dont get any light...

Yes, I agree, snipping all of the leaves would not be good, for plant AND appearance! I only snipped two leaves, they were blocking the light, thus branches under these two huge leaves were wilting in lack of light. Now I know they are the powerhouse of the plant.

You can take a few leaves off to expose lower leaves (indoors) but I really don't see the point of doing it if you grow outdoors. I think people like to keep plants bushy indoors because your canopy is even and receiving almost all the light you have. I would think people keep plants short and bushy outdoors because of stealth.
