Hi, in vegative growth is there a 50/50 chance of a female or is there a greater chance of getting a female than a male? (maybe because you only need one male to pollenate lots of females? or am I way off)

I was hoping for better news but I do feel lucky...

you could get lucky and get all females or unlucky and get all males,,more realisticly is about 4 females from ten seeds.

Next time I'm thinking of getting feminized seeds. Do these work or are they a waste of money?

I germinated 15 seeds,3 never opened so i was left with 12 to pot,within 2 or 3 days 2 looked very sickly so i pulled them,that left me with 10 healthy strong looking lil guys,after 6 weeks veg i kicked em over to 12/12,after 2 weeks on 12//12 i only had 3 left out of the 10 i started 12/12 with,the males show up pretty fast once you start 12/12.

I got 3 females out of 10 healthy plants,it sucks but what can ya do.

50/50 is an average that everyone says. I planted 9 seeds this time and got 7 females; first grow I planted 6 seeds and got 2 females.
