Flowering question about calyx and pistils
ok so supposedly the pistils are gonna be sucked back in the bud at the end of flowering .i heard anyway. are we supposed to be checking trichomes + waiting for the pistils to recede back in the bud or do only some buds suck the pistils back in?
cause i had one that i was ready to chop one time and then WHAM a surge/layer of extra white hairs. so how do you take an indica bag seed and not miss that extra weight/plumpness window? aside from experience how do you not mess up? yall think hard cause i have no idea. and we never see this question much!
I wanna roll and smoke, even grow. But, unfortunately this isn't a good time. Thank goodness for forums and pics. sigh*

so youre asking whens the best time to harvest? well take a magnifying glass and look at the triches. when they are the shade of gray/amber that you want them then leave them in the dark for a day or two and they should get fuzzy and plump, then chop em down.

The hairs do not get sucked back in. Rather the calyx swells to cover the hairs.

My 3 gallon require about 3/4gal to get a bit of run off on average. When I use 5gal buckets 2gal run through gets excellent run off. I only use Grow and Tiger Bloom indoors. IMO those 2 used in combination is all a plant needs....Hope this helps....

ok...yeah the pistils don't get "sucked back in" unless they are pollinated, what they do is "recede" back into the swollen calyx a little bit, but not all the way
