Default 600hps how far???

i started growing with 250hps and always kept 1 foot away,then went to 400 and still kept a foot and a quater away.
now i have 600hps how far can i keep it from my plants,cos it well hotter,even with the fan on.
how far is the most i can get away with over 2 foot?.
my plants are 4, 2 ,and a few days old, all flowering.

24-26" should be fine,ultimatly it comes down to the hand test.your an experienced grower so i thought you'd know whats what.

i would go 18 to 24 inches just to make sure crazy do the back of the hand test . Peace

i have it around 18 now,so it would be ok to goto 24".

well you want the light as close as possible without burning the tops so the light can penatrate the canopy so use the hand test is what i do i have my 1000 hps at 18 inches but i have fans also blowing so its not a problem for me. Peace
