Should my fan be on 24/7 in my grow tent?
Hi i have a 9inch fan blowing across the top of my plants in my grow tent, not directly at them, they all seem to be sharing the fresh air nicely, i also have a carbon filter ETC,
Was wondering should my fan be on 24/7 to maintain the fresh air?
As much adivce about fans & fresh air ETC would be great as i am new to growing.
a fan going 24/7 isnt necessary until flowering or late in flowering (to help fight possibly mold).
during veg its best run the fans less (to beef up humidity as high humidity is desired in the veg stage)
i only run my 24/7 for the last few weeks of flowering. otherwise when the plants are off; so are the fans
Mine are on only when the lights are on but it doesn't hurt 24/7

The two main reasons for good ventilation is to keep a supply of CO2 and to regulate humidity to stop mould developing on your buds. Plants do not need CO2 when the lights are off, so during vegging you don't need ventilation at night. Vegging plants also grow well with higher humidity levels. Towards the end of flowering there is a risk of mould developing on your buds with higher humidity levels, so it is sometimes necessary to keep fans on 24/7 to keep humuidty down.
it's a matter of environment really ...if you're in a humid environment sure you want your fan going, even if the humidity levels are optimal air exchange is always good.
Higher humidity its good in veg, but if your using pruning techniques or ended up doing a shitty supercropping you may want to bump up the airflow and drop the humidity a bit. those open wounds can invite some fucked up guests that may not harm your plant in veg ... but it'll start to rear it's head when flowers start popping up.
I always turned my fans off when the lights went off ... I didn't realize how important it is to keep airflow on those buds at night until i started seeing bud mold. so now ...i go 24/7 with all engines running.
I don't know if this does the plant any harm, but i still wet behind the ears so i can only say it hasn't hurt.... let's see what the experts suggest
i didn't realize you were in a tent ..... i say keep the fan going
some tents can keep humidity in like plastic baggies when there's no airflow. ....just sayin.

I keep mine running 24/7 in both rooms.
I have my fans on the same timer as my light ,
When lights go off my fans go off ,
24/7 is fine but not necessary ,
Now if your having high temps in your cab then i would keep at least one on to help exhaust that hot air thats been built up when your light is on
