1-2 gallon should be fine. try and transplant once from a smaller pot from seed. this will help build a stronger root mass. 16oz cups work well with seed then transplant the third week in veg to the final pot.
works for me....![]()
how big pots would it need to support plants that are going to be 1ft2' tall by for flowering? so they wont ever get bigger than 1to2'
say 5L pots or 8L? is what i guessed
Jolly

Doesnt matter as long as your not using jiffy cups. and ive seen 3 foot plants in those cups and do fine.
All things considered, root stress can be overcome with ferts.
Id say go with this formula.
1 gal per month of vegging up to 3 galons.
This also takes into account final flowering too.
A 3-5 foot plant does remarkably well in a 3-4 galon pot.
yea i start out small too... so far i have done only one transplant...i had like 16oz pots... then i went with 3 liter pots,... im on week 5 of vegging and i think i need to go with 3 gal pots or 5 gal pots,... any suggestions??
Everything I say here is a lie,... Lie,.. Lie,.. Lie....i dont grow weed I just post pics and pretend like I do,... I guess to seem cool
