will a pump like this suffice for aero? i am still not quite 100% on the physics of the systems, just wanting to know what kind of pump i would like

Wow, those look like they will do fine, might even be a bit overpowered for what you're looking for. i'm no expert on aero, tho.

would it be bad if it was too powerful? like... shooting the water out at uncontrollable strengths? i was just figuring to get a strong pump so it won't fail bringing water to the pots

They make a valve thay you can control flow. I always buy bigger and add the control valve.

Not off hand but your local grow shop should stock them. All plastic should be cheap can remember what i paid for mine.

I think he is referring to a normal shutoff, just don't open it all the way, it restricts the flow. Around $4.00 at most hydro shops. VV
