Long story short,
I have a brand new Digital Greenhouse, 600W Digital Electronic Balast, however when I plug it in, it doesn't fire up. The fan doesn't even turn on.

Can anybody chime in as to what the problem might be? Did I get a bad ballast from HTG Supply?

Turns out HTG Supply is going to send me a new Ballast.

Oh well, hopefully the new one works.

ive had my share of problems with htg...i dont use them anymore...

Been hearing alot of issues with htg lately.TMake sure they send you the upgraded bulbs too as the ones they were sending werent compatible with digital ballast saw lotta posts about bulbs burning out fast and having to get new ones sent from htg. I dont use them as he never answers emails or if he does its weeks or months later. I get my digital 600 watt switchable ballast from Maryland Hydroponics for $119 actual I got mine for $115 from them on ebay.Never had an issue with them and they repsond the same day.

working with tony....you gotta call him. he's attached to the phone more than a computer.

yeah, he is. and besides, you can get a bad ballast from anywhere. the fact that he replaces things that go bad should be good enough reason to stick with him.

Ahh well I have no complaints from HTG what-so-ever.

They sent me the $30 upgraded ARGOMAX HPS bulb, and the GrowBright MH Conversion (yeah its not the best, but 1 year warranty is fine for me).

Tony (I'm assuming hes the one I talked to), took my info and shipped a replacement to me today, and I just pack the old one up and send it back.

Neither bulb worked in the ballast and the ballast didn't kick on / hum when I turned I plugged it in, so we'll just have to use the fluro's for a few more days .

i have two and the ballast stays very cool ull be happy with it, weird it didnt work tho cool ur getin another, good luck brotha

Ive heard of a few problems with defective stuff from HTG, i had a defective bulb.. tony answers the phone immediately every time you call and sends you replacements no questions asked.
