The way that usually works for me is weight. Try to weigh tue container + dry soil then feel it after watering. When I water I like to see a little run off then I wait until the pot is light again. I know many use this and it works well.
When I first started I feared overwatering, but after killing two seedlings due to underwatering I now like to be a little more generous with the water

Hey easyryder1,
Depending on how long you plan on letting them grow I would do 3-5 gallons. I personally use 3 and let them grow 3-4 months.
What type of container are you using now? I start with plastic party cups and just cut around the cup. If you let the seedling get a few nodes it usually has filled the container and you have a nice cup shaped root ball you can place into your new pot. Hope that made sense, baked atm

I personally have only used fox farms line up. Just the liquids. I really like them, but again it's all I've tried. They're also really acidic so you may need ph up with them. I'm thinking next grow I'm going to run atleast one plant on a different fert line, probably something cheaper just to compare.

I .took the guess work out of watering, wet them good at let them run-off, or water from the bottom until they don't suck up anymore, easy, i prefer bottom feeding because the roots grow down to the water.

Some other small tips others haven't mentioned yet.
1. Don't use freezing cold water straight from your refrigerator. Try to make sure it's around room temperature.
2. Pour slowly. You don't want to flood them and disrupt the root system.
3. Whenever you transplant your others to 3 Gallon Pots put some pebbles at the bottom to help with drainage.

Thanks man. I will definitely be posting both a full weigh in and a smoke report when the time comes, but that's a long ways off as I don't see them going into flower for another good 2 weeks.
