I have a rectangular closet that i plan on dividing into a propegation chamber and flowering chamber. it will be a rather small operation, i already have 6 4 foor t12 fluoros for the mother plant(s), and i plan on using like 7 40watt CFLs for the flowering room, and making a wooden ballast for them to hang right above my clones, doing a sea of green method. Would i get decent yield with these lights or should i just invest in a HPS or HID instead of using CFLs?

You will get a good yield with 5 or so plants. Any more and you are better off buying a real light.

I would suggest you get a hps for the flowering room if you plan on flowering more than 2-3 clones at once.
