Vent clone dome?

Should my clone dome be vented at all? like at least some air holes?

I've seen domes that don't look vented... wont this suffocate the plants?

p.s. since im going to clone in rockwool this time, should i mist with ph5.5 too?

I have never vented my clones hoods/domes. There has never been a problem because I take the domes off at least 4 times a day to mist the clones. So they are getting fresh air then. And 5.5 is fine.

Hey Russ,

It is up to you.. But taking the dome off for 1-10 minutes every 1-3 days is FINE....

Mogie... there should not be a need to mist your clones if you have a dome....

there should be plenty of moisture in the air just from the dome? right?

Thanks, the reason im going to use the dome is to hopefully root faster, this will help, no?

I don't know if there is a need. I wanna look at them and when I look at those pretty little babies I mist them. Always good to give babies a drink.
