tap root up or down

It's actually supposed to go up, then turns back into the ground. This is a bean but basically the same thing goes on with cannabis.

Metal is correct, but most of us still plant the tap root down with very high success.

saw a video on youtube 3 months ago did 2 trial test with 30 seeds .guy on youtube said tails up because it will do like a 1/2 circle and come up . 15 seeds tail down 15 sprouted....15 seeds tail up 8 sprouted////////////second test 15 tail down 13 sprouted ...15 tail up 6 sprouted ........i have read alot about this since and in my opinion tail goes down ..... i know it should go up and i have read alot on this but i still put mine down just cause of what ive seen even if incorrect

You know it really doesn't even matter, do what ever way you think is best. You need to find what works best for you and not what me or anybody else says.
I put that pic up earlier because that is technically the correct way, I think it is more important not to put em too deep then which way it is orientated.

depends on the media for a start...

then it depends on your technique
if you are sowing seeds they aught to be root up....if they have already germinated then it's root down

Good points. I think most folks plant their beans too shallow in most cases. Thats why not matter how close the lights they still end with a lanky seedling. Dont be scared to sink them a good 3/8 to 1/2 inch. (10-13mm).....
