I have a problem that my plants are too tall for the grow room. Do you have any ideas on what I can do? How about putting a screen over them and pushing it down a bit and letting the buds pop thru? I have 2 600hps lights on 12/12 cycle. Right now they are starting to bud and probable have about 3 weeks left. Any ideas are welcome.

Try bending the top down slowly every day

I have been doing that but the number of branches that are getting close to the lights is alot.

since you are far back.. you could top it. sounds like your plants are trying to go back into veg from your light leak..

I wish you all the luck but i don't have ideas beyond tieing it down or topping it. hope someone else has ideas.

i would get a bunch of big bolts and string.. and tie the bolts to one end of the string and the other end of the string, tie to the tips of the tall branches.. this will bend the branches over.. and keep them bent over...

GK saves the day again, you should click that little scale and give him some good rep! he deserves it.

You can actually break the stems and let the plants grow at a 90 degree angle. The place where the stem is broken will heal into a "knot" and will be just fine. The buds will grow toward the light, kind of as though you had a screen over them. This tecnique is called "Super Cropping."

If you only have three weeks to harvest, you most definately do NOT want to top the plants.
