I just started using a product called Great White a while ago. The directions call for every 2-3 weeks, I am applying it a little less frequently than that, but probably 2-3 times in the life of a plant. I can't say yet whether it helps, it will be interesting to see the root ball on one.

You guys ever buy shampoo that says "rinse and repeat" in the directions? Like, just to get you to use more, so you buy more?

Once you have a good fungal and bacterial colony going in your soil and roots, what is the benefit of adding more? Other than using up product to buy more (overpriced), product?

Have either of you done any actual organic gardening besides reading ad copy from mj oriented publications?

It won't hurt to add more, but is a total waste of money to do so.

I use MycoGrow Soluble from Fungi Perfecti. They have been in business since ~1985, way before Great White, or the internet for that matter. Saw their ad in "Organic Gardening and Farming" way back when.

Anyway, check out the site and see if ANYWHERE they say more than the initial inoculation is needed. They don't, and while Great White might be good, it is no better and vastly overpriced.

There are only a couple of places where mycos are actually grown and the majority are just bought in bulk and re-packaged. They might imply that they are their own, but that is usually a lie.

Do your research and reading ad copy isn't it.

Wet, if you do simple organic gardening then nothing more than inoculations is needed. Given that not everybody does organic, the fungi that is colonized can be destroyed by nutrients depending on what they are. Reason behind their suggested every couple of weeks.

Also, salt build ups from nutrient solutions is devastating to fungal and bacterial colonies. Did you ever read that anywhere Wet or do you just s@#$ on everyone you can? Just another reason why people use it more than once.

A very valid point, I'll agree. +rep

I've done chems with the mycos and with no apparent damage, but I'll admit these were very light doses and after thinking how many growers max the nutes ...........

Every couple of weeks might not be a bad idea.:leaf:
