Default Quick question
Sup, new around here obviously but I got something confusing me.

I've had two seperate sites telling me one thing, and the other telling me something else.

So it's wiser to just ask here. Is it optimal to let the plants grow to 3-6 feet before I put them into the flowering stage.

Because this one site is telling me it's more efficient to grow a bunch of small plants and flowering/harvesting them while they are smaller rather then growing a few big ones, and then having them flower.

Totally new at this so help a bro out.

how much head room ya got??
how much lighting?

please bear in mind that most plants double, and some strains triple in size during flowering.... so ya could end up with a plant that is between 9-15 ft - strain dependant of course..which would be a bitch to supply sufficient light to the whole plant.

several small plants would require less supplemental lighting to the sides.

It's a closet, about 3 x 5 and about 7 feet up.

I was going to put about 15 plants in there for starts. But as I read more, its not looking to good.

As for lighting.. i'm on a tight budget so i'm probably going to invest in 5 or 6 fluorescent shop lights.

Well if you're gonna flower in there you wanna try n flower the plants around 2.5ft, to be on the safe side for head room.
fluoros will work but You may wanna try some cfls in there too if ya can,esp for flowering.
Wally world has the Y type fittings so ya can get 2 cfls in real close.
15 plants sounds a lil optomistic, but i guess theres people on here that have made that kinda space work..look into lollipop techniques. might be ideal for ya..

IMO more plants per sq ft is better, you grow more smaller plants, which = less time from veg to flower to harvest with a bunch of phat single cola buds. i just started a thread on my perpetual SOG, for some visual examples...
