I mix my nutes either in my reservoir or in a container the size of my reservoir when changing out the res.

If i am just topping off my reservoir, i base how much nutes i add on the PPM of the res (you can read through my GJ to see how much nutes/water i add daily).

One thing to note - you DO NOT want to mix the nutes together and then add water! Add nutes to the water not water to the nutes.

does that makes sense and and answer your question?

Ditto on what email said. Add your Tiger Bloom to a gallon of water and mix, then add your Big Bloom and mix, etc.

I am using 1/2 gallon of water, and cutting the nutes in half, but all in the same 1/2 gallon of water, not multiples.

I like to mix a full gallon with full strength nuts... Then i have smaller containers that i can dilute with prepared clean ph adjusted water... So if i need 1/4 for my clones i mix a small container of that... Ect...

Soil of course... For a hydro i may take a different approach... =]

If you mix fox farm nutes to a whole gallon of water, and put some into small containers, how long do you store it for? I mix a 1/2 gal., but 1/4 would be more than enough, but i would have to store the mix for 3 days, is that OK.

never just top off your resevoir, always use all your food up before mixing more. this way you dont have to guess how much is still in the water. if you don't have enough to feed your crop then get rid of the amount you have there and start fresh.
also if you are just doing your calculations to half a gal or a gal, then up to at least a minimum of 20 gal or 60 litres for us canadian folks.
