I bought the Dual spectrum II lights, 85 watt each for my first grow. I am able to touch them or hold them without burning me, so I can put them 2 inches above the plants. I get two inches of growth everyday so I have to raise them everyday. I started growing because with Stealth Hydro system, I have STEALTH, I do not put out HEAT and I am undetectable. I am very happy with my two lights, the bulbs are $29 each, how can I beat that? after my first grow, i added two more lights, but i can not see any difference between having 4 and having 2 lights. I'm getting the same results.

You would get the same results because your not improving the amount of lumens, your just improving the light saturation.

The cheapest you can find the exact 85 watt Dual Spectrum II lights anywhere are $29.95 each, or wholesale by the case (12 in a case) are $24 each. and that is just the bulbs....and not the reflective holders, which are $5.00 each. How can anyone get two of them for $40, much less the holders, the $6.00 tank, the two pumps are about $15, the airstone, the hose, the tubes, the 2 multi plug Electrical Connectors, the 2 extension cords, the rockwool cubes, the hydronton rocks, the Grow Instructions CD, the PH test strips, the PH UP snf PH Down, a year's supply of Grow Nutes, Bloom Nutes and Micro nutes and the free support for $40.? It is amazing the B.S. some rookies will post here. $40 will not buy what you get for $160.
Peace

You should think about in terms of lumens per square foot. If you can get four 4200 lumen CFLs in a 2 x 2 area, you lumen level is 4200 per square foot. If you can get another two CFLS into that same area, your lumens per foot is increased to 6300.

There are also other factors at work, like lumen loss and reflected lumens which are common to all lighting sources. But, simply stated, your lumens do get increased if your lighting footprint remains the same.

Roseman has a huge thread on the stealthhydro unit already
right here...
http://www.rollitup.org/hydroponics-...s-systems.html

It's very informative. I have one of them by the way it's a nice little kit. Great for 1st timers. I have also looked at this and am going to purchase it
HydroFlora Systems for Indoor Closet Hydroponic Grow Boxes / Chambers
Which I think is a great unit if you already have lights, like me. I have a 400w HPS/MH unit so I don't need the lights. I did however get the lights that Roseman has mentioned...you can never have too much light. Good luck with your decision, I hope you enjoy whatever you get.
