Question Brewing Beer and Growing
I have seen people using yeast for co2 and was wondering if you could do the same thing with homebrew beer. It produces a lot of co2 and need about the same temps when its fermenting as mj does. I guess i just want to know if anyone has tried it. If not then when i will try it out when i get my room set up, would be easy cause where im gonna grow is already where i keep my brews that are fermenting.

yes you do use yeast in brewing beer if that is what you are asking and i am pretty shure that it will help produce co2

I brew beer so i know that you use yeast, the only thing i can see wrong is that you dont want all that light getting in the carboy but u could just cover it. I just wanted to know if anyone had tried it, and if there was any intrest if there is enough i will do a thread on it when i get my new room set up

Brewing yeast works better than the standard yeast you buy at the grocery. Brewers yeast, while more expensive holds up alot longer as it is less susseptible to the alcohol killing the yeast. But I am not sure if it is worth using brewers yeast over any other type if you are only looking for CO2

its actualy way easy if you can grow weed you can brew beer. But dont try to mix the two, although hops and mary jane are cousins they dont brew the same, tried it and it was horible. I guess i could experiment more but that will come later. The only other thing i could see that would go wrong is some cross contamination or something with the beer, dont realy think it could afect the weed in a negative way. I guess even one person interested is enough. When i get set up i will do a side grow with a small one gallon batch(of beer fermenting) and maybe 1-3 plants on floros and see how it goes. Ill take pics and what not.

Another thing is i would have to continualy be brewing batches of beer because the main out put of co2 is realy only 1/2 to 1 1/2 weeks. But after a couple weeks you would havve enough going at once to keep a stedy supply. I dont know just an idea. Ill keep yall posted and let you know how it grows.

Peace/Love/Joy
