no I'm saying that when they made that grinder on ebay, they took a cylinder of aluminum and bored out the inside, they then stuck/welded the tines on. This is no good.

Now the space case picture you posted, you can clearly tell that is a quality grinder because you can see a little halo around every tine where the cnc tool carved it out, this means that the tines started out life on the same piece of metal as the thing you will be turning with your hand, this is good.

$80 bucks is rediculous though, if that is what that space case costs, there are other similar grinders on the market that are half that price and are milled in the proper manner.

it's hard to say, but the greater danger is if they bend, you're grinder will be unusable

Typically the lid is spin in one direction and the base in another creating force. Depending the what is placed in the grinder you will know how much force to apply to turn the lid. If you place a small amount of very dry marijuana in the grinder very little force will be used and placed on the studs. However if your place alot or dense buds or possible buds containing stems or seeds more force will be need to turn the lid and base. The extra force from grinding up even small stems or too much bud has bent the studs in more then a few cheap grinders I have owned.
