I have a crop very close to finishing but the pistils dont seem to be browning off? I dont know what strain they are but it is now into its 10th week of flowering. should i be worried?

No some strands can take up to 14 weeks of flowering. Just harvest either when the trichomes tell you or when the pistils do.

Trichome development is much more reliable than watching pistils.

just let her go man and pick it when it looks ripe... if it don't look ripe don't pick it. Even if u have to let it go 14 weeks or so

the plant will lose its potency if you let it flower too long

get a small, backlit magnifying glass and check the trichomes whenever necessary.

cloudy crystals = mellow sativa head high
amber crystals = couch-lock indica stoney high

a nice mix of around 80% cloudy 20% amber makes for a killer smoke

eye-clops is what i use to check trichs. x2OO and displays it on to a screen..i.e. tv, computer, i use portable dvd. mostly just snip couple inner leaves and place on white paper. seeing it on tv is WAY cool and Accurate.

u can let them go too long. even matnuska strains must be cut before the lower branches go too long even though its growing. iv seen those go along time...
