Default Humanitarian Stories w/ ganja
does anyone here have any stories from the past or currently where you have grown and given away the fruits of your labor? Has anyone sold homegrown and donated all of the proceeds to charities?

I live near the Rez, and Native People are decimated by alcoholism - something about their physiology doesn't breakdown alcohol. To me, marijuana prohibition is a matter of freedom and liberty, but on the Rez, prohibition on marijuana is nothing short of evil. Weed would be so much healthier to every aspect of Rez life than booze. Male life expectancy on the Rez is arround 44, primarily due to alcoholism. I won't make much comment about it because distribution on the Rez is major federal shit, but I feel compelled to smokeabrotherout.

Thats kool. You know I can't say I'm surprised at the lack of responses to this question. It would seem that most people are business minded just as much on this side of the law as the "legal" side.

Remember what you're asking - if we use proceeds of sales of illegal stuff (which the forum prohibits) or the illegal stuff itself in humanitarian ways. Doubt many do this - but if you ask if we donate time/money/etc.. to charities and other humanitarian causes, I believe you'll get a much different response.

I have regular deductions taken from my pay for charities - most notably United Way but there are others. But from my paycheck - not the garden that i use personally.

well, in the states its kinda hard to use weed in humanitarian ways without getting arrested hehe. i know this isnt ganja, but ive been growing shrooms for over 5 years and during trips i always open my mind to a perception of understanding/awareness - ive often spent part of the time playing the role of a psychologist (ive taken like 4 classes lol) to friends who need to vent/talk. i also used to get ppl to trip and i would explain/ponder the universe and possible theories of existance. we would all walk away from the experience with better mental clarity and awareness, but i guess this would fit under a philosophy section instead of humanitarian. it might be kinda irrelevant, but i think it ties in w/ the sense of people coming together to understand the world around us and ourselves better. we all have some form of knowledge to convey and we all have something to learn, not everything given has to be physical. then again, im really blazed.
