Question Best of Both Worlds
Hello again fellow tokers. I was wondering what your views are on combining growing styles. what i mean is starting the plants during the germination/seedling/clone cycles using normal potting soil. Then when its time to switch to the flowering stage, was gonna transplant them into pots that have the big basket type openings at the bottom and instead of using soil to fill in around em use lava rock and water by means of ebb and flow style. Controlling nuit's in more of a hydroponic style of growing. Would like to know if anyone has tried this before and how it turned out for them. All views or info is helpful, lets me know what ya think and keep on token.

Interesting. I've heard and read of people mixing two mediums but don't never tried it myself.

This is exactly the way I grow. I have had long term success keeping mothers vegging in soil. I then cut my clones and place into rockwool and as soon as they are rooted right into the E&F hydo room.
