my actual question is at the bottom of the thread

I live in a rented house and the owner has to make 'significant renovations' to the house.. he's ripping out the kitchen/bathroom upstairs and therefore nobody can live in the house while the construction is ongoing.. this isnt a thread about the ethicacy of him kicking my roomates and i out over the christmas holidays...we're students and in our tennant agreement there is a clause that states if 'significant renovations' occur, he can 'kick' us out.. he is paying for our rent while we temporarily move into another house that he owns... so usually this wouldnt be a problem.. and since this renovation is occuring over the break between semesters its not a big deal.. as we (roomates) all simply go home for the holidays..

except that we have 6 plants that are in there 4th week of flowering at the moment.. and the last day we can stay in the house will be their 40th day of flower (which is their last possible day i can have them on 12/12).. i have to dismantle the grow room and there's really no place i can move the plants to finish flowering..

can i harvest at day 40 (~2 weeks premature) and make hash or even dry weed out of the buds.. will their be any THC in them? (approx harvest is usually at about 7.5-8 weeks) i'd hate to have to throw away the plants right now..

anyone have any suggestions? heres what the plants look like right now.. 28 days flower

Why can't you move them to this other house that you will be moving into?

so that'll be 40 days of flower....strain? time in vege? (not really important but curious)....I would be inclined to say that it won't be a total waste....it certainly won't reach the genetic potential....but you might try some of the bud fattening techniques....and see if you can rush them along a little....but this is a marginal apprach...they will mature in their own sweet time....but certainly not a waste....

Dude harvest a bit before he kicks you out. You will still get amazing smoke off those plants bro, I know.. I grew bagseed and my light fell on it after it had been blooming for 4 1/2 weeks... I smoked it, got retarded. You will get quite a nice high, you won't be able to think, lol, you'll just sit back and won't have 1 thought. The reason I say harvest a little before he kicks you out is so that the place does not WREAK of marijuana. Be sure to sweep so that you can kinda shake the smell out of the carpet, make sure there is NO remote indication that you grow. You don't want this guy even pondering the idea that a plant lives in that house. So calm yoself, and get high son Just start up again when you're back! OH! And don't forget to flush a week before you cut it down!
