Iv never done it. Or read much about it. But from what i know they "condition" the soil. Maybe google it or something.

Worms can be beneficial for your plants. They'll provide nutrients and help 'condition' the soil by moving around in the pot.

I recently took a worm composting class... and they said when harvesting the compost, some wroms are still going to be in there and get in your pots, but they will die pretty quicly and dont hurt the plant, and they decay pretty damn quickly.
maybe start a worm composting bin?
you can buy redworms thoes are the ones used for composting, and sometimes used for bait , at a bait shop.
20 of the will reproduce and be 200 in notime

you can clone the worms, just by 1 that is a ft long and cut it into 12 peices which is 1 inch each and they'll just regrow. GL!
