While some strains my be genetically engineered to produce higher yields. If you dont have experience, it does not matter what the genetics are. If one person has been growing for 20 years and another for 1 year. Who do you think is going to have better results, even with bag seed?

Pick something that is easy to grow or just do bagseed if this is your first grow. If this is your first grow, worrying about yields right now is the least of your concerns. You have many other things to learn first. Yields will come with experience.

if you want a couple of fool proof strains that are easy to grow and still yield high you can choose:

chronic
powerplant
sensi star
mangolian indica
special K (KALI)

but then everyone has their favourites.

I wouldn't pay too much attention to what it says or doesn't say about yield, its kinda not important really. All strains yield is relative to their veg time. So pretty much any plant there is, you veg it for 4 weeks, amongst most of the strains your going to get exactly the same, with a few of the strains producing a slightly higher yield per plant and a few strains coming in slightly lower.

What i'd do first is work on quality and flavor and what type of weed would work better for you.
