I am going to be growing in a rental house that I live in with 5 of my friends. I want to start growing a few plants, but all of my roommates are worried that if I were to get caught they would all get in trouble. Hypothetically, if the cops were to find my pot plants (1-3 plants) what would my sentance most likely be? Would my other roommates get in trouble, if I said they did not know about it?

Is there any way you can really get caught in a house? Just a small list of things not to do would be nice. (ex. I do not know if I am legally allowed to purchase marijuana seeds online and sent to me house, does the FDA keep track of that stuff).

P.S. if it is legal, does anyone have a good sites to buy seeds from? Most of the weed i smoke is mids and I would rather grow a nice strain.

If your roomates do not agree...you have no business growing.

If you grow around 5 "friends" in a rental, your ass will be grass. It would be when not if. When you grow you can't tell anybody and that is rule number one. If something happens, your "friends" are going to roll on you so fast so they won't get in trouble. Here is some EXTREMELY STRONG advice. Forget it. Don't do it. It's not worth it. Not under these circumstances.

Cops would be least of your worries, man 5 friends = 5 mouths which could tell
anyone....

Also, growing without the permission of others in the house is not a good thing
It could lead to any number of bad shit coming your way man.

If you are serious about growing get your own place.

Your glory was short lived here at RIU, I have to agree with the rest of them, if I were fucked up on the best herb in the world right now, I would still not tell you to go ahead and grow with 5 roommates, even if they were completely ok with it, which they aren't.. also, laws are dependent on the state you live in, and their effectiveness of enforcing those laws can be generalized by county (which would take a locals knowledge) and sometimes (many times) more specifically to a city. (suburbia = bad) You will be crucified. About your friends, one of them will absolutely tell, whether on accident or not. Then, it will permit the rest of them to, you have got loose lips with 5 as your exponent. DOMINO DONKEY DICK

haha, alright, thanks for the opinions. I am not looking to start a big operation or anything just 1 or maybe 2 plants. They are all smokers and would not care as long as they could not get busted too. I do agree with you though on not telling them. There is a wardrobe in our basement that is behind probably 20 sheets of loose dry wall. Thinking about growing in there, it is the basement and I go down there for laundry so no one would suspect anything. For the record, I am not really doing this behind their back, they agreed as long as they cannot get in trouble. If they cannot get in trouble if they do not know about it, then I think I am going to start and not tell any of them. And regardless of what everyone says, I have been best friends with all 5 of them since 4th grade and would never rat me out. If we were in a situation, I would just rat out myself, and take all the blame.

Bottom line: Does anyone know if they could get in trouble, if they take no part in the grow and have no knowledge of it? I live in Ohio, by the way. Thanks.

well there you go. i think that they could be tried on taking a part in the knowledg of it but they would really have to be serius if they were asked once u get caught. god for bid. but as long as they take no part in the operations i dont beileve so.
