I assume that you meant 6 red to 1 blue for flowering?
Building your own led boards is so cheap and easy and its great for people who have limited space,best of luck with it

Also of note is that you should try to get the leds about 1-2" away from the tops of your plants

Definitely cheap no heat and they dont blind you when your working on your garden. Saves space by not having to have a lot of intake and exhaust fans but good ventilation is key. We'll see how they go.

Good point i had to make it so you guys could see the plants so i lowered the plants off the raisers i have them on

Those are some nice bags of weed in your gallery,i hope you dont expect that kind of result from leds on their own?
Unless you have a couple of thousand leds you wont get a big yield.
I am going to use leds next year but only as complimentary lower bud and side lighting to my 2 fluro tubes and a 400 watt hps

Thanks this will help alot. I too am going to make one of these, my only problem is i have to solder a resistor to each led, plus i havnt even started on how im going to make a power board for these

Im prepared for the worst but hoping for the best. Leds work well along side hps. Thats what i was using them for at first but i wanted to try just leds and see what happens.
