| | Lets have a filthyfletch hates CFLs forum | | Then he can post all his anger towards them in there and we dont have to read about his daily bitching.
Itll include such information as:
Fletchs weekly top 10 reasons why HPS is better than CFLSs
Unknown facts about why CFLs are lame
Daily heat measurements to prove they are way too hot
and also provocative pictures of him and his HPS

| | Haha I like that idea. I've never commented on this issue, but I don't think we need a CFL forum. We got enough as it is. Nothing against CFL users, I just think this site is starting to get forum-happy.

| | How about how a CFL is a bad idea forum. We are trying to promote better growing on these forum, honest i think 4ft flouro is better then cfl and if your trying to save money by going that way 4ft flouro will give you a way better coverage area.
You talk about unknown facts but the known facts are that their Flourescents, would u have a dot of flouro or a 4ft flouro for lighting.

| | Lol, who cares, let the people do what they want. What i would change on this forum is a way to filter out all the grow journals. Make an option of finding threads by type of light or strain for example.
On another site they had the journals in different categories and that was great. There was even a page listing all the journals with the information of how many grams were harvested and the grams per watt ratio. Awesome |

| | Hey Wafflehouselover,
I have a question for you, if you use a four foot fluorescent bulb and it states that it has an output of 3000 lumens does this mean that you would have to divide the four feet by the 3000 lumens? and if so wouldn't a cfl give you a better lumen to persqf ratio.
Let me know |

Awesome | Isn't it down to the journal creator as to how thorough they are, also rollitup added the tag facility, so if you do a search and use the tag option, it uses the keywords. |

I just tried "cfl grow" and got 1 thread. Might be doing it wrong if you should only be typing one word. |

| | just so you know its not the amount of lumens that makes the plant grow its the spectrum. t5 puts out the most useful light/lumen that a plant uses. That means that if you get a 4ft flouro that puts out y amount of spectrum that is useful for the plant then that means you can place like 5 plants in a line under a flouro as oppose to 5 cfl with x amount of lumens around the plants and only y amount of spectrum.
