Ok i mixxed a root and stem and ripped it up, now its soaking in water. Would this be good on my plants?

I agree....go with the pros; use commercial nutrients unless you have experience with a proven method of creating your own.

you need the actual nutrients your plant uses not just any organic matter cut up into little pieces. thats like eating some bones and skin with some grass on the side and calling it a well balanced meal.
