people's views?.

ive just potted on, some 12 day old seedlings, into there next, and final pot/bottles. im going to grow them short sog style, about 1 foot. before i goto 12/12, some one suggested to use coke bottles with the top chopped off and holes drilled in the bottom., 2l bottles, or 3l bottles. so i have more pot space.
this seemed a good idea, so ive just tryed it.
in this pat. grow space, i can normally only get 4 biggish pots. but with these ill fit, 9 or even 12,bottle's. with me growing the plants much smaller than normal. i normally vegg, 5 to 6 weeks, but this time, 3 to 4 weeks.vegg. , sog style grow, im useing 250 hps. for now, but going to use 400hps. for 12/12, and can add 250 hps. or 400hps. if needed.
heres some pics. i cut the bottles tops off, drilled some holes in the bottom, added 2 1/2" pebbles in the bottom of the bottles, to help drainage, added 1/4vacumate and 1/4perlite to the 1/2muck, and a few small pebbles, in the muck too .mixed it together,except the pebbles in the bottom. what are still in the bottom.
then i put the plants in, the bottles, and added perlite to the top, i thinks pure perlite on the top of the soil, helps reflect lite, back up to the plant, because its soo white.

any views welcome, like i say this is my first time growing like this. and im just having a go,

maybe wrap the bottles in something light proof...roots hate light.

lol me too, uh oh we're old...lol. No problem just wanted to let you know, good stuff though I like the freeing up of space. I'm actually getting into small spaces using vertical systems and V style gardens...I think it's the way to go for me. Good luck C-M!!

PIcs soon, I'm still working on the vertical garden. It will consist of PVC columns. But I will post a pic of my new aero rail sysytem and how I set it up into a v, like a valley for SOG. I used vinyl fence post and some PVC, it's a awesome system so far. I just have to fill it with plants...lol. I promise when I get it up and running 100% I'll do a thread, I was inspired by Filthy Fletch's aero builds.

any plans or anything like, im doing a sog grow, plants above. and, i started 4 plants yesterday , one has poped and tap is cumming through, and i have 5 clones nearly ready, cannot wait, im going to do a scrog style grow, cannot wait to start. i have all the stuff ready to start, double closet, 400hps, fans,food,pots, cage, muck perlite, vacumate, pebbles ect... all i need now is 4 to 6 plants to start, but i think 6, maybe to many, cos im going to vegg for 6 weeks, so maybe ill only do 4 , see how it goes

Sure I will write something up soon, I basically was trying to copy this

I used vinyl fence posts, 1/2 inch pvc and a big pump, I will do something basic for you tonight...not near my growroom right now. It's very easy actually. I also wanted to make mine more versatile...less permanent, I am one of those guys that needs to reconfigure something so I can use it in different rooms...lol

cool. ive never grown, any other way than soil, i would like to have a go at hydro/areo, but dont know much about it, to try it. i like the sound of it, i just dont want to pay, for a load of stuff.
if i dont prefer that way of growing,.
what way, do you think is the easyest, and best. soil/hydro?.

I like hydro better but I still do soil also. And I hear you I didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for the real deal so I figured I would build it for cheaper...turns out I like this new rail system better than DWC now.
