Alright, so in the world of marijuana we have the luxury of digital scales.

I know NOTHING, and expect to look at none.

So im gonna rely on you guys.

I need a digital scale that can weigh in Grams, MG/KG, and anything smaller. To weigh some extremely sensitive bugs.

If anyone could throw some ad's or sites in here it would be cool. i NEED a scale. my college thesis relies on this scale lol.

Actually, none of the scales on there that go down to mg go up to even 1kg. If you want to find a scale like this, double that $1000. Otherwise, you are going to have to go to a lab. Even if you are not a science major of some sort, (although it is highly unlikely that you will need a balance of this accuracy for anything else) you will find it to be rather easy to make arrangements to use a lab. If you need reliable precision down to mg, the analytical balance involved will be very expensive.

what about those old scales at the bus depot,that they used to measure luggage i heard those were good.

He needs something that will go from .001g to at least 1000g from what he said (kg/mg). I can almost guarantee that he will only find one of these in a very well equipped labratory. If those parameters were exaggerated, he may be able to go somewhere else. Not many people, however, have an analytical balance laying about. I knew one guy once that had one. He used it to measure doses of a lot of entheogens, many being research chemicals. I am pretty sure he stole it from a lab. So, Tokesalot, see if you can use ones at school. Buying a balance of that level of precision is totally impractical. Your college, however, if it is a large one, or especially a research school, will have ones that are even more precise than you need.

The 0.1g to 0.001g (1mg) scales are considered "precision balances". The ones that are greater resolution, such as 0.0001g (0.1mg) are considered "analytical balances". If you get any more precise, it gets into Semi-Micro and Micro balances (1μg = 1 microgram = 0.000001g). These can cost as much as a new car.

Yeah. I have access to a lab, but it's 2 hours from me. I have a lot of tanks filled with soil arthropods and i dont feel like taking them on a trip
