right on dank, i have my card and i had the option of putting someone down as a care giver,I dont need one, but that does'nt mean the caregiver can grow medical marijuana at there house and bring it 2 you, you have to b at the house with the patient who has the card to help them. and yes i know what the fuk i am talking about, 4 the people who seem to think i dont

My wife first got her script, and I heard the same thing you just said. perhaps what county you are in makes a difference, but I just want people here who read what you said to know that in the vast majority of California and other States with Med programs, this is just an Urban legend. I really tried to get my wife to make me her primary caregiver, and the things you have to do to become a non-scripted deliverer of pot is not possible, at least here in SoCal. Then, under this tiny loophole, you could only buy pot for the person under the same restrictions they can buy, and in the few places you can do this, you have to prove to a judge that this person is completely unable to leave their house to purchase weed, and that there is no delivery service available to them.

Dude, if you know for a fact I'm wrong...well, you know something that I, Norml, and the ASA don't. Sure, if your spouse/mother/child is dying and can't leave the house, you can get a special clause invoked for you to go to a cannabis club and buy weed. Hey, if you can convince a friend to be bedridden for a few years, and scam a doctor into believing your friend has a horrible terminal, debilitating disease, you can get the right to go into a pot store and buy marijuana.

Is that even an option worth pursuing?

Dude, really, tell me, because I was there when my wife first signed up, and the folks at t eh doc's office laughed when I asked them about primary caregivers without prescriptions. In LA, there isn't such a thing, or at least, they are hiding it from me.

You might live somewhere else and what I'm saying doesn't apply. Sorry. Laws are crazy.

I am in Oregon and I am a caregiver, I don't live with the patient. I will be in about 5 months. Anyways, I can grow anywere I please, As long as I let the state know were the growsite is at!

Truth be told, I have a good understanding of local and state laws at this point. You DO need a med card to grow anything to begin with. Its picky about the maturity of plants and amount of bud stashed away, but 12 plants is cool here, 99 in the tokin capital of the state.

hey guys not trying to start ne drama, but what i have said are pertaining 2 laws in New Mexico where they r the 12th state that passed the bill for medical M.J., i was very happy when that bill passed on 10/1/07, so i could get my card for the epilepsy i got due 2 motorcycle accident, guess what kind of bike? hint my screen name, so i dont want to start ne thing with people just tellling what i know about are laws. so u guys do ur research or what you got 2 do. take care my friends

Sorry if it gets confusing from location to location. I just hear people talk about Caregiver Status, and I just wanted to say that it's not as easy as all that. Like Choppers said, it's different all over--I was just talking about my own experience with it, and got carried away...That is the one true thing about Medical MArijuana--it's almost impossible to know exactly what's going on.
